Reasons for a visit
What people come in for
These are the reasons people tell us they book. You do not need one to come in.
Sore after hard training
The stiff, heavy legs and shoulders after a long run, a ride or a heavy lifting day.
Tight hips and hamstrings
Stiffness people notice when they stretch, sit at a desk or start a run.
Shoulders and neck
Tension from lifting, climbing or hours at a computer.
Knees and ankles
Aches that come and go with mileage, jumping or a new pair of shoes.
Winding down
Trouble switching off after evening sessions or a hard week.
Getting ready for an event
A calm session ahead of a race, a meet or a season opener.
Plain answers
What acupuncture does not do
Acupuncture is one part of how people look after themselves. It does not replace a doctor, a physical therapist, a coach or sleep. We cannot say how it will go for you, and results vary.
We do not diagnose injuries and we do not read scans. If something has changed suddenly, if you cannot put weight on a leg or move an arm, or if a sore spot is getting worse, see a doctor first.
When to see a doctor instead
Chest pain, trouble breathing, a head injury, numbness or weakness that comes on quickly, a fever with a stiff neck: call 911 or go to an emergency room. For an injury that has not eased in a couple of weeks, see your doctor or physical therapist, and tell us what they say.
Tell us what you train for
We plan a first session around your week.
